Place Meditation – Yan’s Place
1.) Why I chose this place
I chose this place because I felt like I had a clean view of the city, the river, and the landscape. It was a place I felt like I could stop and observe how everything related to each other.
2.) What I enjoyed about connecting with it
I enjoyed connecting with how calm and quiet it was compared to the rest of campus. It allowed me to slow down and actually take in my surroundings.
3.) Course concept I connected with the most
The course concept that stood out to me most was boundaries and territory. How the river and hills created natural boundaries for the space. It helped me learn how man-made and natural formations can control how cities are divided.
4.) One thing I’m grateful to my place for
I’m grateful that my place allowed me to stop and think more about what I’m being taught in school in a real-life aspect.
5.) One reason my place might feel grateful for me
My place might be thankful that I took a second to notice and appreciate it rather than just walking by.
