Why you chose the place;

The place I chose was the hut by the A&E building. To be honest, the reason why I chose my place was because it was close to our class and where I park but I ended up loving the spot I chose. I have always seen it driving up to campus but have never had a reason to go visit and check it out until this class and I am very grateful that I finally had an excuse to go.

What you have enjoyed about connecting with it;

One of the main reasons why I have enjoyed connecting with my spot was how quiet it was and that I was able to enjoy the fresh air and admire the beautiful scenery it brings. It was also nice to see so many other people enjoying the spot even when I wasn’t there so I know it brings other people just as much joy as it brings to me.

Which course theme/term idea you found easiest to connect to it and what that connection was;

The theme that I found easiest to connect with my place is Chapter 5, more specially geography and language. This is a great spot for people to talk on the phone with their loved ones and friends, and the people who attend TRU come from so many different backgrounds so it is cool to hear all the different languages that are used around campus. Another thing that I want to bring up that relates to this chapter, is that you can see the reserve from my spot and that just reminds me of the Secwépemc language and how around that part of town, you will see their language written everywhere, including stores, street names, and even on the stop signs.

One thing you are grateful to your place about;

One thing I am grateful for in my place would be the peace it gives me when I go to visit. I know it is a safe space to sit and relax, be stress free for a little while, and reflect on what a good life I am living.

One reason that your place might feel grateful for you;

One reason that my place is grateful for me is spending time there, if no one visited then they could have used that space for something else or nothing at all.
